The Post of Things that Irk Me

Via / nothing to do with the post...but I miss my sis
This post had to come sooner or later. That's right. The complete Book of Things that Irk Me. Unabridged.

{1} Leave my bro alone. You can pull any brutal tactic on me, but if there is any person who makes a mean comment about my twin brother - his hair, personality or whatever - you are in some serious trouble.

{2} Don't call me chick, babe, girl, dude, or Beth. Bethany is just fine.

{3} I can't stand it when people ask me if I've ever had a crush or who I've had a crush on. Quick answer: no, I haven't, annnd if I did, I wouldn't tell you. End of story.

{4} When someone yells at me, I always start bawling. It's very uncomfortable.

{5} Please listen, because I don't have the time to repeat myself.

{6} I can't stand people loudly banging on the piano without proper dynamics.

{7} I hereby burn any text that contains the font of Comic Sans MS.

{8} I don't like it when people leave empty boxes in the pantry or blankets on the floor.

{9} I will yell at you in Spanish if you take a jab at my big, big brother's black Dodge Charger. You're just jealous.

{10} I don't like listening to gossip because I'm too polite to tell you to stop. Which is both our faults.

{11} If someone leaves the leftovers out, the sky will literally fall down.

{12} Blonde jokes are blonde.

{13} I don't like list posts.

{14} My sister is not a geek or a slow driver. Only I am allowed to say so. :)

{15} And finally, my parents are not scary or strict and I love them to death. Please respect them. Or else you could end up on the floor.

{15 1/2} I. Will. Not. Ever. Again. Read. The. Illiad.

Note: If you indeed think that I have a morbid propensity to strike people down because they irk me, think again. I just hold year long grudges. But seriously...yup, these things irk me (err...most of them) but we all know that forgiveness is a virtue. :)

Warning: This post was a joke. Anonymous comments commence - but please bring your sarcastic meter with you. Because sometimes I can't explain my own jokes.

  1. Hey, my name is Hannah. I've been following your blog for a while, but I never commented before. (I don't have a blog of my own.) This post made me smile! Your blog is such an encouragement to me! Keep it up! Oh, and actually BOTH my older sisters (a.k.a best friends!) are leaving for college after being home all summer, so I know what it feels like...it will get better! :)

  3. @ Hannah - Well, I feel like we can certainly relate! Thanks for the encouragement -- I actually am sorta getting used to it...but we were super close knit -- and know I've actually taken to talking to myself (or the wall) for sake of a conversation. Weird, right? It's probably some sister syndrome that occurs from stress. :D

    @ Kendra - :)

  4. So, I must be a horrible best friend...because I've done almost everything on your list of dislikes to you. Isn't that dreadful !? I feel like the worst friend in the world !

But, I agree with you about the Illiad...it's just disgusting to the brain and me ;) lol
