start it right / bible study tools

She Reads Truth is a devotion for each day. You can subscribe to their website and have a devotion sent to your inbox each day or you can simply browse some of their past plans. You may choose to read the thoughts they had on the passages (use your own discretion) - but it is most helpful as a bible reading plan. I'm going through Standing on the Promises, a 21-day devotional on the promises of God. This is probably the most helpful "online tool" that I've found.

Memverse is similar to quizlet or other such programs - but used specifically for memorizing verses. I've found this somewhat helpful - but it still doesn't replace the "old fashioned" way of writing verses down and memorizing it that way!

YouVersion is similar to She Reads Truth - and it's also some bible app thing which I don't understand because I don't have a phone.

Grooveshark is my favorite place to turn on JJ Heller as I do chores around the house, create stuff or simply need a song that I can sing at the top of my lungs with. I also like to start the day with a song of praise - because let's face it...songs get stuck in your head, and you're practically thinking the chorus all day long!

For example the song I listened to this morning to go along with John 16:33:
