psalm 16:11 while doodling

"You make known to me the path of life;
    in your presence there is fullness of joy;
    at your right hand are pleasures forevermore."

While I was not getting gorgeously tan in the freezing Wisconsin weather they called "spring", I discovered something revolutionarily obvious:

God handles my burdens a million times better than I do.

I tramped barefoot through the tick-infested fields, clutching my screeching shadow (a.k.a the cat) and musing over everything that was upside-down, crazily complicated, and totally driving me up the wall from uncertainty.

And then I started praying - right there in my freezing, cold, distressed, barefooted state - and spilled the whole drama in one endless jumble to God.

Surprisingly, or maybe no so much surprisingly - there was peace.

of course. peace.

The God of peace who knows the beginning and end results of everything, even from the foundation of the world.

So, I think I'm sufficiently covered.

  1. Still, you should spill your drama out to your sister too when she gets home tomorrow. ;) <3
