My Vintage Baby Bassinet | & Llama Fabric!

Babies.
My new brain ever since I saw my precious little baby kicking on the ultrasound screen. But today, I'm going to introduce you to my vintage baby bassinet, because that's pretty exciting, too.
...and these pictures have been languishing on my phone for months now. Time to get them off.

The bassinet is a family heirloom that I didn't know existed until it ended up on our doorstep. It's adorable, unique, and light enough for pregnant me to lug up our apartment stairs. AND no assembly necessary.
However, I can't say the same for the state of the mattress covers. (o)_(o) The elastic died the moment my fingers made contact and the diaper explosion stains were stubbornly set for life.
What a convenient excuse to buy fabric.
And one simply can't resist gender-neutral llama fabric!

I mean, come on. Llamas. Also, flannel is expensive, y'all. 0_0

The graphic design in me really liked the tag on the bottom of the bassinet. It's just screaming vintage and that makes me happy. :)

I ditched my pinterest tutorial (all those measurements!) and cut up one of the old mattress covers for a pattern.

All done! Guest appearance by August the teddy bear.

Well, my internet has officially died, so I'll leave you with a full picture. Pardon the owl quilt.
Cheers!

    1. @ Abby - Thanks! I'm actually not a fan of most nursery fabrics, but I just about died when I saw the llamas. :)
