Mommying IRL | Vlog!

So, it turns out that it is very hard to blog with one hand! I've got all the time in the world, but the thing is, my baby refuses to be left alone for more than five minutes (except on rare occasions, which I use for necessities like dishes and laundry.)

I did, however, chronicle a late morning on my phone a looonnnng time ago. I finally found a moment to throw it into a little video that sums up the last seven weeks. Unfortunately, it got cut short after Ella tumbled off the couch. We both were so traumatized that we just sat there and rocked for the rest of the day. It was horrible.

  1. I am laughing so hard at this!! Especially the 2:21 breakfast/lunch/first meal of the day. :D How kind of Ella not to leave you alone for your meal. ;)

You're going to love looking back on videos like this. I hope you make more!

And ahhhh it's one of my worst nightmares to have a baby fall off the couch on my watch! I can't believe she's big enough to wiggle around that much. Poor chubs. :(

    1. Well...our couch is slightly inclined and I brilliantly had the idea to put her on her tummy so I could quick throw on the baby sling. She was babbling happily and stretching while I was trying to untangle the baby sling and next thing we both know she's on the floor...and we're both screaming. Ugh. It was awful. I was texting Hannah and freaking out afterwards, but she informed me that she dropped like everyone on the floor when they were newborns. Haha! Annnd that one time Daniel rolled all the way down the stairs...

    2. You're doing mothering beautifully! Cute video-log. I especially liked Ella's little sneeze.

  2. Love this.

You're such a good Mommy. Ella is blessed;)

Yeah...Haven might have taken a tumble as well....and we also rocked in morbid tension for quite some time. There's no feeling quite as awful. Or, okay, not very many.

  3. Ella is super cute and you are doing very good job mommying even if she rolled off the couch

  4. What a cutie pie! And that's a cute video. Poor little thing. I hope she was okay after falling off the couch.
Have you ever heard of Growing Kids God's Way (or Baby Wise is what it's now called) by Gary and Anne Marie Ezzo? My parents used it on all their kids, and it works fabulously. You get the baby on a schedule, and then you have time to do things, (like wash dishes :) ) without the baby crying, and after its nap it wakes up all happy. You should really look into that. I highly recommend it. :)

  5. This is incredibly adorable and funny. :D
