#lifehack | stop buying body wash

Not only is coffee my morning bae, it's also my evening bestie.
Because, yes. I'm that weird person that makes their own body scrub in lieu of body wash.

(yes, i use soap, beforehand. stop judging.)

Once upon a time, I was freshly married and super self-conscious, so I researched how to help my cellulite. Google kept screaming about coffee, so I began to take my coffee grounds straight to the shower instead of the trash.

I don't know if coffee helped my cellulite *or* I just lost it all after breastfeeding and turning into a shrimp.

The moral is: cellulite is fine. everyone has it. but try coffee grounds if it bugs you.

I forgot about the coffee scrub after pregnancy brain, until my sis-in-law made me THE BEST EVER homemade body scrub (thanks, btw.) After it ran out (um, a nameless husband broke the jar...), I knew I couldn't live without this scrub in my life.

And now, for the first time ever:
Prepare to live like a princess after every shower, cuz it's time for the newest #lifehack post to change your life!

It's so glorious to recycle someone something I would normally throw away.
*oh my soul. it's only 8:47pm, and here I am plotting murder. #typo*

I don't follow certain amounts, but I've followed this graphic before which recommends a 3:1 ratio of sugar and oil.
(3:1 ratio right? I was really bad with those in math.)

I half the amount of sugar and replace the rest with coffee grounds.
(and sometimes a bit more, since I love it so much. IT SMELLS SO GOOD IF YOU ADD SOME VANILLA. AND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SMELL LIKE A STRAIGHT UP COFFEE POT.)

Mix it all together and carefully pour it into your (cute!) container of choice. Glass is a little daring, but it's all I have on hand. For now (*cough* husband.)

It's a wrap!

Mine is a bit goopy because I used coconut oil at room temperature. But I use my scrub in the shower, so I'm not too worried about the mess.

You can use your scrub *basically* anywhere (be smart!) I even exfoliate my face every once in a while to help those nasty pores get some air.

The oil leaves your skin baby bottom smooth, and you'll feel like a goddess after you rinse it all off.
(I'm not even kidding. you'll feel like a goddess.)

Truly, the best hack ever and it costs me nothing (since I already use sugar and coconut oil for cooking because I'm *that* girl.)

Have fun. :)

Cheers!
Bethany

Oh, and I'm glad you liked that coffee scrub. Drinking coffee is THE BEST THING EVER, so why not smell like coffee, too (♥♥♥)???

    Anyway, stay cool.
