Bonjour Again!

In the spirit of family traditions, we once again celebrated our annual end of lease term by moving again! (in other words, this is my excuse for being gone for a long three months. but really, I'm just too lazy to fire up the computer and type. *sigh*)

If you're on Insta - I AM TOO! @everydaymemoirs
I've been more faithful posting over there if you intend to stalk my life.
Plus, pictures are easier to caption than writing an entire blog post. Ugh.

I've been super busy trying to get the new apartment all in order while juggling work in the mornings and keeping up with the mundane parts of life. The great news is that we have a dishwasher now, so I can never complain about dishes again (right?)

Ella's room is my favorite spot right now, and the part of the house that is the most put together (although still a work in progress!) I followed THIS TUTORIAL for her washi tape wall which turned into such a great statement for a whopping $2! (p.s. extra hack: I used a piece of paper to measure the distance between my crosses. Who needs tape measures?)

I'm still on the hunt for cute shelves, DIYing adorable pillows of her favorite creatures, and finding some sort of toddler bed for her mattress once she discovers how to escape the crib. -_-

You can peruse my black hole of bedroom inspiration since it makes me happy just looking at it:
My latest diy / hack was also a whopping $3 since I can't throw around money on nice big canvases without feeling guilty. You can find the tutorial I used HERE. Special thanks to Auntie Caroline who graciously watched Ella while I went to town with the staple gun and electric sander! ;)

I absolutely love this picture of my grandparents running out after their wedding day and I've been scheming of framing it for awhile now. When we moved, I had to throw out the memorial rose I had dried after his funeral, so this is my alternate keepsake that I'll see daily and remember him by. I love it! ♥ (I can't decide where to put it, though!?)

Also, the people are Staples were completely un-thrilled that I ordered a photo print on a piece of engineering paper instead of buying a poster print. So...I wouldn't recommend going that route unless you want to be thoroughly chastised. ^-^

xxx

Alright, so I've tried to end this post about twelve times and nothing is coming to me. I'm not a writer at all, so just pardon me while I sign out and take advantage of my child being asleep...

Cheers!

    1. @ Jane - thanks girl! I'm trying my hardest to keep up with life. Ella makes it a little hard to write stuff on the computer (because she likes to "type", too!)

    1. @ Julia Ryan - well. Pinterest did it first, so go for it! Seriously though, it's the easiest way to make a statement wall without painting (and it's renter friendly!) And yeah, I think I'm keeping it above the piano since that's my emotional little corner of our apartment. ;)
